I'm not talking about the race car $30 each fireproof aluminum/rubber things. Nor do I want a grommet with a 1 1/4" od and a 1" id. I'm talking about the funnel shaped deals that allow you to drill a 1 1/2 inch hole, large enough to fit a connector through, and then tapered down to 1/2" or so to seal on the harness.
Like this, but not ordered in lots of 1000 from Shanghai:

Headed there this afternoon. Just seems odd I can't buy them. Maybe time to order a few thousand in various sizes from China and ebay 5-packs.
You might try Lowes. The one local to me has an assortment of automotive fasteners and grommets in the hardware section.
Watching thread with interest.
I habitually cut them off of dead rear O2 sensors and ABS sensors that pass through sheetmetal. (Toyotas are really good for having rear O2 grommets!) Then I forget where I put them, and collect more.
One of these days I am going to open a cabinet and I'll be crushed under the weight of several thousand rubber grommets. When I stop posting for a while, you'll know what happened to me.
I picked up a few from Toyota fuel pump wires where they go through the floor under the rear seats. Nice size.
I haven't used Pegasus in a while, but it seems like they carried this kinda stuff.....

I have a few of these. Free to GRMers. Just pay shipping.
These have a 3" OD and are for a 2.75" ID hole.
Ace Hardware has everything.

I looked around for something like that when I was running the new MS harness in my boost buggy. I found this on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Daystar-KU20040BK-Black-Universal-Firewall/dp/B004K2285E but I couldn't bring myself to spend 11 bucks for a stupid grommet...
I deal with these for my OEM - these guys are in Indianapolis but the downside is you will be buying a 1000 of them.
