I'm in need of 1/8" steel plate for a project. So far I bought a piece of 12"x12" plate for a large sum, but I need a good amount more. Where's a good source?

Your profile says Pittsburgh. The best reviewed steel vendor on google is Fieldcrest Steel Corp. The reviews mention small amounts being OK.
I guess I am spoiled. The steel yard 3/4 of a mile away will supply me with anything from 200' of 4X4 .120 wall or just a foot of 1" 4140 for a machining project. They know me by name and there is always free (bad) coffee hot inside the building. Steel is commodity priced so the actual price will vary every day.
There also appears to be two www.metalsupermarkets.com near you. They keep a lot of stuff in stock, and I pick my stuff up in a few hours when I use them. They aren't usually my best option, but the stores are all different. There is also Alro.com they seem to have a location near pittsburgh, and may be an option for you. I paid around $150 for a 4x8 sheet of 1/8" a few months ago... I think.
I second metal supermarkets. Go in and ask to look through the drop shelf. You can usually find enough for projects unless you need multiple large sheets.
I buy mine from a small local fab shop. He has tons of cut offs when I need small pieces and will order me any big pieces if he doesn't have it.
The metal supermarkets by knickerbocker off Campbell's run road is awesome, there might be another closer to you.
Otherwise, multi metals on 66 between Greensburg and delmont are great to deal with and have E36 M3 loads of drops on a regular basis. But of a haul for you if I remember right though

Thanks everyone. Had no idea. I work right off of Campbell's Run so this is the easy button.

I had no idea you could do that there. My impression of them was so much that they work with small quantities and specifics that you could have anything as tiny as you want as long as you're willing to pay full price for the deluxe service... I never asked.
