Have a friend that just picked up a near original turbo MR2. He is looking for an OEM radio. Is there a go-to place for these or if anyone here has one laying around let me know.

There are different types of OEM MR2 stereos. Here is the one I have in my car. I have seen a few on the MR2 sites. Good luck.

Yeah, the photo above is the premium sound head unit for a 93+ MR2. It is interchangeable for most contemporary Toyotas. If possible, power it up to make sure it doesn't have a security code set. Unfortunately that model is bad for buttons flaking and dead CD players these days. I spent $100 for a nice one to go into a 94 Turbo...12 years ago.
The 91-92 Turbos has a couple of options, one of which being a separated single DIN CD player add-on to the standard AM/FM/Cassette
93 MR2 radio part numbers:
Build date: 9201-9311.
86120-17300. Cassette, 1 DIN. (MatsuE36 M3a)
86120-17330. W(Equalizer) 1 DIN.
86120-17340. Cassette, CD, 2 DIN
9201-9408:
86120-17320. Cassette, 1 DIN. (MatsuE36 M3a)
That double din is probably the 86120-17340. It was used on 9201 to 9408 MR2's and 9208-9408 T100's.

Yeah it was a $1300 option with the diversity antennae when I bought my 94T new in 1994. Here is screen shot from my window sticker
