I'm building a set of super cheap headers with parts scavenged from sets with different primary tube diameters. Question: in a design with stepped primary tube diameters, how far from the port do we place the step (assume only one)? Does using a stepped design affect desired primary tube length? Reference to the formulas used in these calculations?
