I have all the parts.
Navigator needs 4 new struts, no air bags on this one.
Volvo needs 2 front struts, end links, bottom coolant hose, oil change, tranny service. PM mostly.
Monte Carlo needs 9 inch conversion installed, new carb setup, battery, alternator, tune, and tilt steering column unwobbled. Not to mention body work on the 1/4 panels.
All this and another noreaster on its way. What's a guy to do?
Navigator is realistically the best one to get going first.
The one good car theory. Fix whichever one will be fastest and easiest to get proper, in case your wife decides you need to leave tomorrow for a funeral. After that, you can have all the crap you want sitting around.
I agree. But, dang those complete struts are heavy, when you only have one decent arm. The Monte is the ongoing project, so realistically that's last .

Funny, if I keep spending money like a drunken sailor, it may be my funeral she goes to. 2 out of the 3 are drive anywhere, right now.
Personally I would hold off on starting any repairs until after the storm, then Navigator first since it seems the most straightforward.
Would love to have a garage, instead of the open air variety. Next abode will definitely have one.
In reply to Dirtydog :
I know the "all the crap you want" is a dirty lie, but a guy can hope...
1. Daily Driver to get to and from work.
2. SWMBO's car.
3. Project.
Any neighborhood kids that want to earn a buck being a rented mule? Get them to do the lifting, Maybe they can learn a thing or two.
Any GMRs in his area?
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
One hand for hope/wishes, one hand for crap. You know which fills up first.
In reply to 914Driver :
1. Retired and lazy. Bad combo, I know.
2. The Navigator is her baby. SWMBOboy. That answers that.
3. Most fun. Can also walk away from it.

In between generations. I have my son to help, but.....I stand a chance with him, since spring turkey is not yet started.
Those g-body Monte Carlos (and Cutlass and Regal) were everywhere during my 1980’s youth. I want one so bad!
In reply to smokindav :
This is the third one. Original SS, but not anymore.
My wife’s brother, may he Rest In Peace, has a Grand National. His wife still has it - we are hoping to get it from her someday.
I didn't see beer on that list?
As in drink beer with your good arm and watch it snow.
I have no idea why I never get anything done

Rum and coke is my choice of poison.
