What makes the food so good at Elkhart lake is those stands are manned by local church groups. In a lot of cases they bring home made items like pies/cakes/ donuts/cookies . To benefit the church or group.

Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH takes the cake here.
- Stromboli
- Pizza
- $1 for 1 lb of ice cream.
- And everything else of course.
And if you get the VIP suites they have an attendant that brings it to you and it costs the same as waiting in a 45 minute line plus their own kitchen/fridge/freezer so you can BYO also.
Plus the VIP suites come with two golf carts to cruise the pits in.
I haven't been since moving out of state years ago, but Laguna Seca used to serve calimari in a paper cup with cocktail sauce...
Of the California tracks, Thunderhill has good food.

It's almost got a flavor like "If Miracle Whip were actually good"
Oh, that hurts! This guy LOVES Miracle Whip! But then again, I like Thousand Island dressing on a baked potato. I blame the local WI supper clubs where I grew up for both ... and my adult life attraction to a good whiskey old fashioned sour.

Nowhere in my assessment of Miracle Whip did I say that I do not like Miracle Whip, for what that's worth.

One of of the churches have pulled out as they're having trouble getting volunteers or help in general. Covid issues too.
Norwalk Dragway in OH.
$1 for a POUND of ice cream on a hot June day...Oh yes!

Okay, so you noticed that, too.
When Daytona was rebuilding its infield, I went to a press conference that discussed the upcoming changes. On the list: really good infield food.
When they opened the new infield, yeah, they did have good food. I remember good sandwiches.
And, well, those days didn’t last as the menu has since reverted back to the standard fare: chicken baskets, etc.

I never made it to Elkart Lake but I understand it was or has been very good. I want to mention a dirt track in central Pennsylvania. Port Royal Speedway has really good food and the local churches prepare it. The hot sausages are great! If you haven't seen sprint cars live, you are missing something. They run 410 sprint cars as a weekly show. 1200 pounds and 900 HP on dirt. The race track is on the county fair grounds and they still have one covered grand stand from when it was a horse race track.
New Jersey Motorsports Park has a full-scale restaurant. A really nice pub with really good food. It fits their image of trying to be a world-class facility. I highly recommend it.
But, I still prefer the way-too-hot hotdogs and 100 mph chili at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. Put the chili on the hotdogs, go sit outside, and listen to race cars run by 100 feet away. Red flavored Gatorade pairs well with the chili dogs.
Any track that gets those snow cone food trucks is #1 in my books. When its so hot and your blood sugar is low, those snow cones are everything.
Martinsville NASCAB PINK HOT DOGS
Since it's brought back up, I'll echo a few earlier comments...VIR is an awesome track, but the food isn't part of that awesomeness.
The first few times I went to Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos, Tx. for Champcar races, they had some of the best brisket tacos I had ever tasted.
The same family still does the kitchen inside the clubhouse, but whoever used to do the brisket for them hasn't for the last three years. I miss it terribly.
The Ridge in Shelton, WA has a pretty decent restaurant in the paddock.
Atco had a bar trackside.
Gateway/worldwide has some decent breakfast fixings.
South Georgia Motorsports park has some decent grub plus an ac area to eat iirc.

Have to agree about food at the Glen. Love the place, but not the food.

The Grand Marnier crepe stand at Le Mans is legendary, with good reason. They get mad if you don't use enough Grand Marnier; one of the chefs indignantly grabbed the (family size) bottle from my friend and doused his crepe after it was determined he was being too dainty.
Pocono SUCKS!
NJMP is the best I've had recently.

If I remember correctly you didn't pay extra for the chili on your hot dog at Summit Point.

I think you may be right, because they had a pot of chili next to the ketchup and mustard, but I always get a bowl of it from the main line. I think the pot wasn't there the last time I was.
