There was a parts car in SC I was in negotiations to pick up pre Covid. I think I might be ready to give another shot. So my questions to the all knowing hive:
Does anyone know if the big truck Enterprise rents will tow.?
Am I going to have any trouble towing a flatbed from North Central Fl through Georgia, into SC and back?
Not sure on the truck, but SC is open for the most part. You shouldn't have any problems with food, fuel, and a place to lay your head if needed. Where in SC you headed?
In reply to MrJoshua :
Enterprise Truck will let you tow: https://www.enterprisetrucks.com/truckrental/en_US/vehicles.html They even list towing capacities for vehicles.
This is not the same as the Enterprise near the body shops and car dealerships. I think that even though you can get a F150 at those places, they forbid towing. But, you could call and check.
John has it right. You have to rent through Enterprise Truck, not the "regular" Enterprise Car rental. But they will let you tow.
Georgia is open, you can drive through no problem.
Everything but bars and nightclu s are open in Georgia. You can dine inside a restaurant, get you hair and nails done, and get a tattoo while you're here.
Whether or not any of those is a good idea may be a different question, but basic food, gas, etc won't be a problem.

It had been a while since I talked to the owner. I think it's actually the NW corner of North Carolina instead of South Carolina. They owners phone comes up as Sylva but the cars at a tow yard. Edit-In Whittier NC
I rented a u-haul pickup truck to tow my track car between Atlanta and Kershaw sc a few years back. Wasn’t cheap, but a heck of a lot more comfortable than a box truck.
