A New Year's resolution includes new tires for my Prelude. The car is currently riding on some retro SL25 14x6's but I can further retro with some 13x7's.
The car as is:
The alternative is to use my Revolutions. Imagine these wheels in black:
WWGRMD...................
Really?
I would put the Revolutions on the car and then check into the scrap value of aluminum. Those other wheels were cool for a moment in 1989, but that moment passed shortly after tires were mounted on the second set, and no amount of "retro" is going to bring it back.
I agree, go with the Sirocco over the Prelude!

No question, Revs dominate. I'd paint the centers some bizarre color though, like... purple. And sell those other wheels to a VW kid. Make sure he thinks they're rare (And really they are, i haven't seen another set in the last 15 years) and he'll probably afford you a set of hoosiers on the side.
You think you got it bad I have to choose a wheel for a classic car (think Datsun 510) and I need to choose between these:

Libre's ftw here. No question.
Even if they are knock-offs.
And the Revs. Although 14" has a better tire (marginally) selection than 13" does. Just another thought. 14" and ugly or 13" and not much tire selection.
1 Woody got it spot on here. There's no question in this question.
2 Libres are so awesome. They really are. The slotted mags do nothing for me. Very similar to Woody's observation on the other set, but to a far lesser degree. I don't know what those fourth ones are, but they do look nice. However, the first set that says Aspec Wheels on it looks all the world like the Konig Rewinds I have on my Celica. I really, really like them. Anything that looks like a Minilight is tough to get wrong.

I like those Aspecs, they look like Panasports.

Okay, here's the deal on this one:
I love Minilites, even Konig Rewinds ( I had two sets myself, and they're a beautiful bargain). They all look good on almost anything.
I appreciate slotted mags, but they belong on 240Zs, Australian cars, Mustang IIs and Dusters (Trust me on this one, it's a family thing).
I've never seen option 4 before, but if you have a 510 and you're even considering Libres, you're already there. You know that it's the only way to go.

They're Rota RB's. Aspec is a California vendor.
Revs no question. Agree on the Libres... make mines bronze spoke and deeper dish...
13"s will look stupid on that car. Sorry to be the dissenter here.
P.S. I love revolutions just not on a Prelude.

Well, I mean, right now it kinda...
You get where I'm going.
Best looking retro 80s wheel, in my opinion.
I thought RPF01s were the Miata of wheels.
This is a trick question, right?
Revolutions or Libres. Done.

A set of these would look great on my Super Beetle...when the suspension and body work are done.

I really like those Motegi MR124's. They remind me of some of the older Jongbloed wheels.
Revolutions for the OP.
minilites for John brown.
Problem solved
If you can deal with the limited selection of 13" tires, then those 13s.
Otherwise how is the price/selection of wheels at you local yard?
On second thought, if you painted the car, I would paint the black parts of the wheels to match. That would be sweet.

Those look more like retro early 90's.
