Which would you choose? (996, BRZ or 135i)

I'm somewhat casually thinking about a replacement for my 98 M3 sedan. Not exactly a what car thread, just curious on thoughts comparing these 3. Thinking in the < $20k price range. These ads are just examples, but I do love that blue color on the 911.

EDIT: On a side note... holy berkeley! I could get a Cayman S for 22k!?!? What the hell am I doing driving around in a 2500HD all the time?

+1 for Toyobaru. It'll be a helluva lot cheaper to own than the others, and IMO it's the looker of the bunch (and carries the least douchey image )

Cayman S would be my first choice, probably, but I need a back seat. The three i listed all have a back seat, tiny yes, but good enough for to occasionally have my kid ride back there.

From what I know: Cayman < 996 < Cayman S < 997 < 997 S ??

996 is down the street about 15 miles from me. I get off early today. I think I will go look at it.

I am in the same situation a "3 seater" is needed. I need room for 1 large adult (6'4"+) one medium adult (5'4" or 5'8") and boster seat only kiddo in the rear.

Cayman s then 996

Cayman S = yummy. Out of the three cars listed, I don't really want any of them compared to what I already have, but a Cayman S would be interesting.

Can I put in a vote for doing a restore/update on the M3 you already have? 996 sounds nice but the motor scares me, BRZ just never did it for me, and the 135i is over weight and overly complex.

2006 Cayman S for under $20k

BRZ, but I'm biased. And wouldn't want the upkeep costs on the other two.

The BRZ intrigues me and, the Cayman wasn't in the original three. As a rule, I'm a rule player.

Besides, on the street, the Cayman S is like bringing a Howitzer to a knife fight.
