I was looking at a neighbors FRS the other day and it struck me that it may be the closest thing on the market today to the original 60's long hood 2.0 liter Porsche 911. It's a relatively small coupe with a high winding opposed engine. It is best known for being really agile and fun to drive. It has styling and ergonomic quirks that don't appeal to everyone.
I have driven an early 911. I have yet to drive an FRS. It would be interesting to see how the comparison holds up.
