Pay the asking price and you'd still have $217 left in the budget.

You have to get creative when your city goes bankrupt.

I'd rather have a Ridgeline.

You know, a lick of paint and some graphics and it would probably look great.

Some finishing touches and paint, and you could get some jeep guy to pay too much money for it. Maybe a light bar and some other jeep tacticool parts.

Yup, put 10x the LED lightbars it should actually have and someone will buy it and add more.

Impress the ladies?

I dont know. The only ladies that would be impressed by this heap are not the kind of ladies you want to impress.

I like it. If you think about it, many of the crew cab trucks in that era were conversions.

That driveshaft is pushing the limits on how long you can get away with. Awful lot of work went into that, for what?.. I am not certain.

Reply to NOHOME: Was there another small or midsize truck with 4 doors and 7' bed available in the USA? I know you could get a S10 4 doors, Ranger had the Sportrac, Subaru Baja, Nissan's small truck, and... but none of those had a 7' bed -or the Jeep badge. (slightly sarcastic remark, as I like jeeps)

I guess if you where going to make a long bed, four door small/midsized truck, it would be a better deal to find a long bed version and a four door version and put those together.
