I'll start. I've been meaning to sell my 944 for some time. I've never actually posted an ad anywhere. Apparently my plan is to wait for someone just to walk up and offer me money out of the blue. Actually what would be ideal is someone offering to trade me for some other interesting car.
Anyway, I see a lot of cool cars on this board. Then, out of the blue, they get sold without me ever seeing an ad in the GRM classifieds. Does everyone just sell stuff by word of mouth? eBay? CL?
Mostly word of mouth. A friend of a friend saw blah blah blah. I got the Cortina from a Challenger because two other Challengers turned me on to it.

Been meaning to sell my 85 911 targa and a 73 ford bronco. Just haven't gotten around to getting serious about it. I think the scruffy targa is on the classifieds here.
My '62 Chrysler is for sale but not listed anywhere. I'll sell it pretty cheap for what it is. It's in my profile if anyone is interested.
I sell my stuff through the $200X Classifieds or CL.

I have been meaning to sell my Spicy Orange Mazdaspeed Protege for the last year or 2 (or maybe 3). That ad never seems to go up anywhere.
Look for a much loved '95 850 Volvo wagon with manual trans to come up for sale soon. Work will be supplying Compant Cars - Ford Escape.
I'm trying to sell my LS1 RX-7 and have it listed many places. Alas, no takers as of yet.
I may end up going the ebay route.
I've sold my last 3 cars with just a for sale sign in the back window.
What are you looking to get out of it Dyin? I have always wanted an LS RX. It is probably more than I have, but let me know.
My friend got his Miata because I saw it on the side of the road.
I have a Jeep scrambler that fits the bill. It's just sort of sitting at my brother in law's house. I was letting him use it, but he doesn't seem to have a need any more.
I'd sell my 86 Camaro ( would love to trade for someone's no longer loved P car ) but its not much of a Camaro. I plan to use it as my $200XX car & learning tool. Then I'll find it a new home(s) & looked for a better Challenge car or...
I wonder if having a non-running 944 in the garage will cause the wife to see another P car as a bad idea.
I'm looking to sell/trade my 98 Jetta, but then again, I've posted it here, on CL and on another forum...
My 911 C2 is for sale. You wouldn't know it, of course... because I'm not too keen on selling - but I have to. Its in my GRM garage. $17,5k
My last car wasn't for sale, but folks always asked about it (it was a 2nd gen. Integra). My current car isn't for sale...unless someone comes up to me with $3500 and says "please take my money in exchange for your car".
Oh....and I have to say. I hate selling stuff. Forget the internet scammers, dealing with real world buyers can be absolutely frustrating.

My Pontiac is for trade: old Poncho ragtop
I can't bring myself to list the beast for sale anywhere, but if somebody offered me a nice fun autox-friendly car in trade, I'd consider it.
My brother has been trying to sell my '88 Mirage Turbo for years. And Les offers to buy it every time I hear from him!

Ohhh, so tempting. Must...resist...
What year is it and how many miles?
I "sold" my last Europa that way. The recipient knew it was for sale before I even decided to sell it.

'90 w/ 86k, strong runner with a few irritating things I should have fixed long ago but keep ignoring. Alarm only turns off from pass. side, high-beam switch needs the contacts cleaned... antenna booster is dead, AC needs still uses R12 - needs a charge. Its cheaper to convert to 134 and I've been meaning to for 2yrs. It needs the steering rack boots replaced. I have them sitting in the pass seat so ... most of this is petty will be done as soon as my race car is finished.
Its got proper head gaskets, rotor vent, no leaks and a brand-spankin' new $450 oil cooler. New rotors and pads at all 4 corners (HPS), fabspeed primary muffler bypass, C4 rear calipers (bigger). Pulls like a freight train. Re-read the annoying stuff and do not drive it or you will buy it. Will need 2 tires, plugs and an oil change in May.

Still tempting... check PMs.
I'm selling a Suzuki TS185. $500 takes it.
In reply to Tommy Suddard:
I would love to have that Suzuki, but my wife has a strict no motorcycle policy. But a 185 is almost more of a pit bike, isn't it?
That is how I sold my split window Beetle. I had no idea what it was worth because of the condition and rarity of the car. I was told anywhere from $2,000 to $6,000 depending on who wanted it. What I ended up doing was just emailing a few people proposing trades until I got one worked out that I liked so I didn’t have to try and sell it.
