One of my favorite Miata-Daughter stories is when she was about 4 and I had just picked her up from the grandparents house on a cold, but sunny, February afternoon.
As we went around the corner she said "Grampa can't see us now, put the top down." Kid had my number!
I am pretty sure that the first time I drove the car I ran into some snow. I flew in from Nigeria, picked the car up in Tampa and drove to a Friends wedding in SD and I recall a picture of the car with a dusting of snow in the Black hills, top down of course.

Yes, yes we are. Or THEY are. Probably every forum member here totally gets what this guy is doing, but the vast majority of our current society are such wimps that seeing somebody cruising with his top down during a snow storm actually makes them nervous. They are uncomfortable with people who refuse to conform to the herd's notion what is rational. I, on the other hand would be giving him a thumbs up as we passed.
Cool. I put the sunroof back and windows down on my 96 Ser with DC101 blasting wearing shorts all winter. I do put the heater on full blast at my tootsies so I'm a bit of a Bob Costas. Too lazy to Google the name of the British national released by Hezbollah in the 90s Terry somebody. Had his MGB restored for him and drove top down all the time.
