Just putting a feeler out there, I hear it all the time.
So who really wants to go downunder and go to the Bathurst 1000 to watch the V8Supercars.

"Bathurst is a gigantic fist fight, and sometimes a race breaks out in the middle of it."
I wanna go, by the way.
IMO, Bathurst is the most watchable race of the year worldwide. To the viewer, it seems like a 1000km sprint race, with flag to flag intensity. The drivers have to use nearly all their racing knowledge every lap. The race is a testament to the professionalism of the drivers and the durability of the V8 Supercars. If I could watch only one motor racing event on TV each year, Bathurst would be it.
I am willing to find a price and co-ordinate a group of us going if I get some interest.
There is the option of the Melbourne F1 with V8Supercars in support also.
I would have loved to have gone to Bathurst a few years ago, but now I hear that you can only bring in 24 beers per person, per day.
I bring more than that to church.

Quoted for truth. But if the price is right....
Aussie, I am in if you decide to change it to the Melbourne Grand Prix weekend.
I love F1, and I could get in to watching SuperV8...
OK very rough pricing, all airfare is ex LAX it's not possible for me to do the fares from where ever you are.
The numbers makes a difference but we looking at about $1500@ for airfare, unless I can find a better deal in the meantime.

So without spending money we would be about $2700 for the event, I would recommend staying for a week longer and we can do some fun stuff. This is my home town, but that is a whole other story.
Do I get serious about setting this in motion?
Oh and remember you do need a passport

Ding ding ding. . . . I would have to save for two people. Me leaving the country without Mrs. Zero is like asking for a swift and not so pleasant death.
