It would be cool to see my car in the mag, true grassroots effort being designed and built from scratch by me for relatively little scratch. So many great cars on this site I'll just include a couple pics here, maybe get some better ones and send in later.
That's pretty cool! I love scratch-built cars that aren't purposely done to look bad. That's very professional looking. What's it weigh?
maybe one of these days ill get it in a mag. ill probably have to wash it first, though.
and how do i do a readers ride?
Nice cars. Emailing a high-resolution photo plus details to me greatly increases the odds of seeing it in the magazine.

No, we had an epic battle (or at least, one of your teammates and I did) on Sunday! I was running the #16 civic. I definitely had the handling edge, but on the front and rear straights I basically took the fastest line out of the chicane or carousel and hugged your back bumper as your car just had too much power compared to our lowly D16A6 It was SICK racing
maybe once the Miata is wearing new paint instead of primer, and have all my parts put on it (still have full poly bushings and Carbotech/Centric/stainless lines/Prospeed RS683 to put on it), hopefully by Miatas at the Gap, or the next VIR spectator event (and subsequent fan laps) or track day, I'll have some decent pictures to drop to yall
One day I have to lean how to hotlink a photo.
We painted a pretty cool Mustang on the side of our Mustang. This year's Challenge car is way cooler. :)

Really like this! Tell us more?
I actually did notice a picture of my car in a recent issue and was very pleased.
The photo might have only been about the size of a postage stamp, but even I can admit that it wasn't a particularly interesting car.
What I enjoyed even more was when Dave quoted me in his column last month; made me feel all insightful and wise...
Give me a few months of spray bombing, strategic sticker band-aids and turd polish and I will definitely submit the new ride for consideration. Sadly, she is an rough looking girl at this point that certainly shows her age...
Please keep up with (or even increase) the reader & participant content; I personally very much enjoy seeing the variety of insanity that exists in this crowd...

Yea, plz more pics and details
I was in the mag for the first UTCC. I had the slowest time for a still running car. But DNF's count so I wasn't last.

Nope, that was me. Its all your fault I didn't make the 1hour 40 we wanted to make on fuel. Backed off after an hour and barely made 1:30.

[Mr. Burn's Voice] Excccccelllent [Mr. Burn's Voice].
So I did talk to you then! That was something like 20 laps of pure, intensely focused driving. I hope we do it again someday!

Screw Reader's Rides or Stuck On You, I want to read a feature on that.
Thanks, target goals for the car were 900lbs with as equal as possible left to right side weights without installing the engine behind the seat and going chain drive and rear weight bias of between 55 and 60%. I ended up at 927lbs total with the heavy'ish wheels/tires in the picture(keizers and hoosier slicks knock over 40 lbs from that),49.6% left side and 57.7% rear weight.I'm currently working on some LARGE wings that will add some weight back in but the trade off should be more than worth it. I used a free miata for the hubs, brakes, rear diff and axles, engine is a yamaha R1(150hp stock) and everything else is one off.I figure I can lighten it further down the road with willwood calipers and some small changes.Currently struggling with the megasquirt install needed for the turbo addition planned.I built the car for autox and track days,no interest in building to a ruleset-done that too many times in the past. A couple of teaser build pics to show some details.

How is the DA as a crapcan starting point? It's the leading contender should I choose to jump in the mix.
I missed the boat on this. However, how many red NA Miatas have we seen? How many more red NA Miatas do we need to see?
Now, my Civic wagon - that was cool. Unfortunately the transmission gave out and I got rid of it a couple of years ago. Something current is likely better.
Thanks again,if I did this right it should be a direct link to my photobucket to snoop around-I'm not a big picture taker however. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o50/kevlarcorolla/DSC00837.jpg 1st test drive,I did 2 easy laps prior to this and thats it. http://youtu.be/X4eQ_5MQZXs 1st autox, only made it out twice at the end of last season and took ftd by approx 3 seconds each time.2 year old 710's on a light car are not so grippy but still fun. http://youtu.be/v00QPY2exHo
