That is a fantastic question.
Simply awesome.

Yes. A GT3 that has never seen a race track is as sad as a Jeep that has never seen rocks or mud.

I wonder how many Miata R package has never been on an autocross course? Or with a bar, the track.
Heck, how many Lotii ever get raced?

Here we go again. Out of all the 'Trail Rated' Grands, Liberties, Commanders, Wranglers (yes I went there) etc that I see come through here, maybe 3 or 4 really go off road. I have a guy with a bright green '05 Wrangler with what must be $15,000 of chrome and powdercoat-to-match suspension stuff on it that has NEVER seen mud.
Put simply: there's poseurs in every crowd. 'Nuff said.

With the Patriot, they make a big deal out of waterproofing when you get the 4wd version. It gets double door weatherstrips (among other things) which allegedly allow fording in up to 18" of water. That's the only one they make a big noise about as far as waterproofing, though.
My 40 year-old Jeep doesn't -need- waterproofing.
It all gets out through the holes in the floor and MISSING door seals :)
I love my FSJ but I seem to remember the only reason a Rubicon got it's name was because it got winched down the rubicon trail by some REAL jeeps.

Rubicon comes with 32" MT's, a 4:1 Transfer case, 4.10 gears, and a lockers front and rear. It's plenty real.
