I have been watching this guy as his channel grows, and I want to adopt his family.
When the very first shot is a goat, I know I'm in for a good time.
Saving this video to watch after work.
They're excellent, and he has a pretty impressive collection of cars. I've been watching them for a few months now. The videos that they did about going into the 4000 car private junkyard to rescue a few cars were awesome. There was a LOT of stuff in there I wanted to drag home for myself.
It's rare to see such a close knit family pulling together like that. I got sucked in watching them all fixing that crummy RV and happily driving it until it quit.
Decades ago I saw a TV ad for Twinkies, claiming that they're "wholesome." I had to look up the word, not being sure I knew the true definition... I thought it meant "good for you." Turns out that's only part of it, as it is defined as "pleasing to the mind, body, or spirit." So if you enjoy yourself, regardless of what you're doing, it's "wholesome." So, the next time a friend says "I just met this really wholesome girl" be suspicious. Just thought I'd share.
Back on topic, I really enjoy the YT channel DIYifferent, as they totally redo their Florida home, and fixing their cars as necessary. Here's an example:
If we're sharing stuff we like... I have no idea how I stumbled onto this guy but I was there from near his beginning less than 2 years ago.
A North Carolina boy, by way of Gulf Coast MS with the Coast Guard now living in Northern Michigan (Mancelona/Gaylord areas.) He's a roofer by trade. If you really watch, its the story of a guy going from Rock Bottom to Up. He eventually admits to being a recovering alcoholic and some great epiphanies to the story. He's living alone in the beginning and just starts "talking to Youtube." Somewhere along the line, he switches and is now FB only. He gets monetized, seemingly by accident and not originally intentionally (which I'm happy for him.)
His life has gotten so much better! I highly recommend watching them in order. Topics are building trades, trucks, tractors, cooking, livestock, etc. But, here are some sample highlights
Farmer tricks, the video that magically took him over the top with 9million views
1983 Dodge Ram D350 crew cab what the diesel boys call a Gen1
RE- the guy Bearmtnmartin posted about - seems like a great family doing fun things with cars - way better than anything on cable.
Check out his older stuff - he's had a turbocharged 460 powered Maverick and a twin turbo LS powered Toyota Starlet drag car in the past. Good stuff.
Sleeperdude is one of my YT subscribed channels. I don't give those out easily. He was an auto body tech making six figures (he said) and quit to do YT full time. Pretty amazing a person can pull that off and live the dream like he is. The one where Ralphie gets a Corvette gifted to him is pretty awesome.
"Pour one out for your homies!"
