If you haven't already heard, we'll be doing valve cover racing at the Rolex 24 this year! Stop by the GRM tent (no ticket is necessary) at 5:00 pm on Saturday in order to enter the race. Here are the full rules that your racer will need to comply with.
We'll have prizes and praise for the winner, and are expecting a good field of cars.
I thought this thread would be a good place to post up a picture and/or short description of your valve cover. Because isn't bench racing more fun, after all?
I'll be there with my mighty racing Trooper valve cover! It's the little red one with the green wheels.
Does that picture include the threat to National Security
Nobody else? Really? We had more than 10 cars at the Challenge, and I think the Rolex is a bigger event than the Challenge, no?
hahahha based on the title I seriously thought this was a sarcastic post about nascar... in that the only difference is the brand name on the valve cover.
this sounds cool, if you ever venture northwardly let me know.
I didn't realize valve covers implemented KERS! That's awesome... Just trying to work out how best to turn on/off regen and boost...
Someday I'll make it to a GRM event.
Looks like the 2nd one from the bottom is disqualified due to only having 3 wheels?
looking forward to the whole event...
Can't make the Rolex 24, but my 2nd place SBC roller skate powered last-minute surprisingly competitive hack job may be available for loan or rent. You pay shipping.

are you going to the challenge this year? if yes, then goddamit why didn't i know that sooner? definitely would've pushed me off the fence to teh "hells yes i'm going" side. :-(

No, I can't go to the challenge but I have a ticket for the Rolex 24 next year. That should be enough time to put wheels on a valve cover. Maybe.
The big question is if I can race a rotor housing or something next year since I don't have any valves in my rotary.
In reply to GVX19:
I was going to build one based of a 2.2 turbo vc. I ran of time.

I still claim shenanigans! You must have messed with my suspension!
That being said, I am big enough to congratulate a winner; You the Man!
I must add that my Father and I did share a good chuckle when we noticed who finished directly below us in the overall standings.
