86 rx7, 200,000K miles + bought it almost 8 years ago at 145k miles, daily drove it for about 3.5 years. 5th motor (since 86)

not sure on true mileage anymore since there is no odo/spedo

We just sold my dad's 98 prelude si. he was getting it service for an oil leak (bad cam seal) it went 197k miles on the stock timing belt, it wasnt even damaged! but since it was literally twice the mileage due for one he had it done. Sold the car shortly after though because everything else on the car was starting to fall apart. Original owner

2000 Ford Excursion with a 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel, 239,000 and counting. PO put a new longblock in it 50,000 ago when it dropped a valve. Pretty sure the transmission has been rebuilt, front end parts have been replaced. Bought it cheap and it makes a hell of a car puller.

'86 Quantum Syncro, odometer just rolled over 350k. I know for a fact that the odo was inop when I bought the car (it read 268k) and after I fixed the odometer (set it to 298k), there was an additional 7500 mile period where the speedo cable was broke. Basically, 350k is as good a guess as any.

I replaced the rearend about 50k (actual) ago because I thought it was noisy. It wasn't. Engine, trans, and clutch are original. Engine has the compression of a Briggs & Stratton with the E-Z-Start mechanism stuck on - coast for miles in gear with the engine off.

This:

just rolled over 206k. Bought this one at 147k indicated. It similarly went about 10-15k with an inop speedo after transmission debris took out the speedo drive and driven gears. It's had... many engines, transmissions, and rearends. It came with a severely worn out 12A, blown struts, body damage, and a bent rearend. Much work has been done.

Of course he's replaced maintenance items many times. My mailman has a 1976 Chevy Caprice also with a 350 that has 750K on it, or so he claims. I have an XJ with 160K. Just a baby.

Checked with my friend with the cube van (1979) today, he's at 1,015,000 miles. 2nd motor, original aluminum body work. Still has the original wiper motor, switch and gear. The only parts that have never been replaced, worked or needed servicing in any way, as far as he can recall.

He also has a 1951 Chevrolet coupe with only 46,000 original miles.

Our '94 Protegé DX is at 212k miles or so now. It has become my girlfriend's daily driver when we don't commute together in the Fiat. As far as I know, it is on its original engine and transmission. The clutch has been replaced at least once. It burns a bit of oil on startup, but doesn't leak anything (onto the ground, at least). Since I bought it, I've replaced the front lower control arms, steering rack, ball joints, swaybar endlinks, exhaust, headliner, front and rear seats, springs (with Ground Controls), wheels, tires, radiator, etc etc etc.

The car should have gone to the junkyard, honestly. It led a hard life. I can't complain too much, though. It has been a low-buck project and we now have a decent-looking fun and efficient car for her to beat around in.

the only high-miler I have right now is:

2000 Accent GL sedan. 1.5L/5-spd. Cold as ice AC, slow as balls, 206k on the odo. Odo was stuck at 188 for at LEAST 3k miles so it 's pushing 210k miles on it and runs super strong for 90hp. replaced the trans (diff popped after the wife popped a 10" curb with a 13" wheel and trashed the bearing too) at 116k. Replacement critter had 62k miles on it.

Rust usually kills them before that point.

I had a 98 Mitsubishi Mirage(aka "The Rage") that lived a hard 220k for a summer where I added 5k to the odometer, the lifters made a lot of noise and the clutch was on its last legs, shocks were pretty much dead, exhaust was nonexistent, but it ran ok. I sold it for what I paid for it when I noticed the rust around the rear upper control arm mounting points, one more winter and there likely would have been control arms in the trunk, drivers floor was going too. The rockers were solid oddly enough.

The current DD Sunfire the replaced the Rage (aka E36 M3fire) will also be condemned to somebodies $800 first car after another winter due to rust, it just rolled 188k. I have under $1k in it including a crash that required half the front suspension to be replaced. Bought for $400 with 162k on the clock with a noisy timing chain and very loose front end. I think I've gotten my monies worth.

I had a 2002 Subaru Forester with 350k km on it when I sold it. Had a new clutch when I bought it, replaced the rest of the hydraulic system components (bad master). Needed new consumables (plugs, etc.). Replaced the seriously worn suspension with factory 2005 FXT pieces. Engine was starting to burn a little oil towards the end and the fuel filler was throwing a CEL. Only rust was on the rear tailgate under the window and along the rear fenders due to the stupid factory plastic lip guards. Bought for $3.8k, tossed in $1k worth of parts, drove it for 70k km+ and sold it for $5k. I would buy another in a heart beat once I had an actual garage to work on it.

Very impressive numbers being posted here. I'll add:

1995 volvo 850 t5r wagon bought at 95k now at 195K miles.

brakes, tires, intercooler circuit rubber, hoses, filters, oil & blah blah (eats tires for sure)

17 psi ECU, front suspension everything, and cat back at 95k rear mail seal at 100k (ouch) radiator, water pump, serpentine and timing belt at 130k drivers seat motor cable at 160 k or so rear suspension bushing at 170kish used 2002 16t turbo with big angle flange and 3" downpipe at 180k

water pump (oem this time), timing belt, tensioner, idlers, serpentine belt, cam seals, alternator, condenser, evaporator, compressor, power steering pump, fuel injector service, pvc system, rebuilt axles, and right front control arm at 190k. Most of this was done "while I was in there".

engine and transmission seem to be going great, uses a quart of oil every 5k or so. hauls ass- black leather interior holding up really really well.

needs sunroof rebuild, seals at the axles, and a motor mount or two.

376k on a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. Picked it up as an ex daily rental with 30k. Drove it until a couple of weeks ago when a guy ran a stop sign and wrote it off. Boring to drive but it did the job for 7 1/2 years so no complaints.

Replaced the cv joints once along with the front wheel bearings. Replaced the alternator about two months ago. Other than that just brakes, tires and oil changes. It still had the original transmission fluid in it.

Not mine: there's a guy on the Jensen Healey board who bought his J-H new in Cali, it is his daily driver and has over 400k on it. Routine maintenance, a couple of clutches, alternators, starters etc, the head came off for a valve job at ~375k.

I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan with 310,000 miles. She was a former school vehicle. Needs a few minor repairs and some PM that she didn't get as a fleet vehicle. Great running condition, though. I've had other high mileage cars in the past I had a 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis wagon with 280,000 miles on it, a 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada with 240,000, and a 2000 Geo Prism also with 240,000

1991 BMW 318is, bought at 198000 miles and now has about 268000 miles. Turbocharged around 250000 miles on an untouched bottom end, but the head was refreshed. Stock except for ARP studs. Runs great, no leaks, barely any rust, and takes 8 psi all day.
