My most recent bad decision is a 2010 Audi A4 with a bad engine due to timing tensioner failure. Upon rebuilding the cylinder head I found this engraved on the side of the head itself. Was this head previously rebuilt? Is that an Audi warrantee engraving? Anybody have any ideas?
I really like that car in that color!!!

Nothing to add to the head question but I became much more interested when I saw wagon

What motor does it have?
2.0T TFSI. The ones that burn oil and have failing timing chain tensioners. Typical German stuff.

It's also AWD which is why I bought it. We're at 7,800' elevation so we see plenty of snow.
Apparently some people don't care and drive their sports cars year round. Saw this one today.
Not related to the OP's car, but yesterday I saw a nice Audi S7 Sportback at the gas station. The driver was an older fellow with a cane, he looked like he was probably 90. Not the sort of owner I would have expected for such a car.

I used to drive my 996 C4 all year around when living/working in Tahoe. They're surprisingly good in snow with the right tires.
The positive side is that you do not have too worry about finding rusty bolts that will not loosen or do rust repair on that Audi.
That certainly could be an engraving from the last machine shop to work on the head. It looks hand done, not machine engraved, right? Probably a repair order number from someplace.
