I only go over there to post when I see an interesting posting to the left < (GRM)... under "Recently on the Classic Motorsports forums"
too many other forums... and...
... purists only know missionary

Is that new? I abandoned the place right after the split and the new site came up. You did at one time need a 2nd logon and I never saw any post indicating differently but... I just logged in over there as me... and there I am.
Huh.
I go there everytime I'm on GRM. Post more here but I do at least look. I know, not the same. I do post there when I have something to say.
There is also a "Jump to" under the threads and CM has a link there too.
I would combine both forums into one...but then again I'm the same guy who suggested a claim rule a few years back for the challenge event.....
I feel like a broken record... GET RID OF THAT GOD DAMN POP UP AD.
It keeps me from being able to log in...
Easy cowboy.... I agree I tend to forget about it, and according to SWMBO I spend to much time here as it is.

the canoes are partially my fault. new job, less time, so I focus on the site I spend time on; i.e. GRM

I wish the CM board didn't have that empty right column....it wastes space, makes all your pictures look smaller. I posted some pictures over there after the Lake Mirror Classic show, and didn't like how small they looked.....or the fact that nobody was over there to look at them.
That wasted column is my only complaint. Overall, the site has a nice, clean look. I LOVE some of the features. Being able to pull up everything on one make of car is really nice:
http://classicmotorsports.net/cars/datsun/
I also really like the way the calendar has a map so you can easily spot anything going on around you
http://classicmotorsports.net/events/
The problem is that nobody hangs out there........you could drive all kinds of traffic to the site just by having the threads from there - the ones currently listed in the left sidebar as "Recently on Classic Motorsports" - also show up in GRM's 'Latest Topics' The majority of forum regulars just go to 'latest topics' and don't see or visit anything that is not listed there.
One more tab, one more feeling that I'm wasting time at yet another place, and the reward for time spent checking is smaller (i.e. there's less traffic, which is why I'm part of the less traffic...)
I try to remember to check it occasionally, but until it gets back to some sort of critical mass of traffic, it'll probably keep falling off my radar after sporadic checks...
Echo of much of what's been said. Having to click over to another site is a lazy man's bother. Seemed like I was having to re-log in more there for some reason. Don't care for the format compared to this one. Lots of others seem to feel the same, stay away, and thus no traffic, so no reason to visit. I bounded in there the other day out of curiosity and I didn't find anything I even wanted to read. It's a big snoozer, sorry. Too many other sites to visit to waste my time there.
I'm in the "out of sight, out of mind" category. When it left here, I just forgot about it. There is enough traffic here that if I have a Spitfire or Spyder question it usually gets answered faster and more often here.
I probably fit in better over there based solely on the cars I own, but this site has a lot more traffic. This is where the action is lol.

ditto. I have never had a miata, p71 or e30.
You'll need to log in to post.
