Bugs and paint go together like PB&J.
May flies and epoxy attract too. The Jet Boat still has a few of them permanently entombed in it.
There will be bugs either way, they just don't get stuck on dry paint so you don't notice them then.
If you were the size of a fly, the sweet aroma of paint would be pretty overwhelming to you too.
