Because it's powered by Shopify. Along with Twitter, Etsy, Spotify and several other major sites, it's currently under attack.

Wacky world we live in, huh?

Hmmm, no store for me. No Twitter, either. Great, the calls are coming from inside the house.

And now this is serious. From Motörhead’s Facebook page:

Hackers have temporarily taken down the US Official Motörhead store, we will be back as soon as possible!

What kind of war are these cyber criminals waging? Temporarily denying the world access to what their friends had for lunch, pictures of kittens, E36 M3ty pop music, and authentic hipster beard wax is hurting who exactly? What could their goals be here? It's not like I need to buy Motorhead merch right berkeleying now or I might kill myself. I've got like... 4 Ace of spades t-shirts. I can make it all the way until Tuesday without even turning one inside out.

If they wanted to hurt us they would take down redtube.

From what I read, the attacks may be probes testing their effectivity. The worry is that they're being ranked for which ones to use in a real assault. I can't help but wonder if WW3 will be run from behind keyboards. Outlandish? I just don't know any more.

IIRC, Uncle Sam has his own net for the Military. All theyd be doing is pissing off the populace. It wont be as easy as it was when Adolph took a stroll into France. Mess up my fantasy football picks, and Im going to want to fight back!

Sounds like we'd better get a VPN setup to the site's server for each of us before the E36 M3 hits the fan.

Having a windowless van on the internet won't help you get through an Italian Job esque traffic jam.
