I've been searching all over for them and just seem to have the worst luck finding them. Are they that awesome, are they better than the current 5-door? Or was production a limited run on these? Even the Saab 9-2 is impossible.

Seeing you are in florida, that is likely the bigger problem. Not as many of them sent that way. If you were in new england, you couldn't walk 100ft without running into one.

After '05 the engine output was increased to 2.5l up from 2.0. So they are better than the 02-04 in that regard. I'm guessing a lot of people hang onto them for a while because wagon. I would get the SAAB if possible, those look sweet and the interior is nicer than the Subies if I'm not mistaken.

I suppose I should have thought about the northerners and their need for AWD. My fiance fell in love with the hawk eye version after looking around and she hates hatchbacks....but my search for either the saab or the scoobie version has been futile. I'm just looking to replace her hand me down of a hand me down Accord that has been nothing but problems as of late. All stuff I don't mind fixing but with the next Alan McNish on it's way I want her to have a newer ride that has space for a growing family and awesome safety features.

If you're wife DD's a wrx wagon, that means your children should turn out ok.

I implore you to look outside of your state for one. I mean, would anyone on GRM ACTUALLY pass up the chance to buy their wife a WRX? I think not!

I'd try the atlanta craigslist first, they seem to get all the good stuff.

Noted. Her grandparents live right outside of Atlanta and would probably love to aid us in finding one. I need to post some pics up of his rides too. 49 Mercury and a 68 Mustang High Country Special. And if the baby has it's mom's sleeping habits the first few years of it's life, I will be very happy.

How did a High Country Special end up in Atlanta?!

My guess is he purchased it sometime while he was in the Army and it followed him home after that.

You just jinxed yourself. Welcome to the world of sleep deprivation. I'm three and a half years in. My Subies have more cylinders than my son has given me full nights of sleep.

Believe me this month or so I've been waiting on orders I've been catching up on sleep. But somehow the first 6 months of my military career I literally maybe at the most got 4 hours of sleep each night. Between getting stuck on Entry Controller duty at midnight and a horrible horrible dorm-mate at Tech School my sleep has been very deprived and I managed to do very well so I'm not worried. The great thing about my fiance though is that with whats she saved for a new car and what we will get out of her car, we shouldn't have to finance a dime on a new ride for her.
