Yes , but other than the most recent generation NSX, when has Honda ever fitted any of their halo cars with an auto? NSX, ITR, CTR, S2000, when we only got Si Civic's here as the top of the ladder performance vehicle.
And their 9-speed is a CUV transmission. Their DCT was also very short lived in the ILX. They have a 10-speed auto that they put in the 2.0T Accord and that is also in the TLX Type-S. While they are fine transmissions, they don't give you anywhere near the same experience that a proper Honda built manual would.

You know, I'm actually pleasantly surprised that Acura kept the Integra Type S as a manual-only model.
What would ever drive you to believe that Honda would bolt an auto to a car like that? Or are you a masochist that thinks a CVT would make this a better car?
Honda also has twin clutch transmissions and a lovely 9 speed automatic in their repertoire.
I really only mention it because most of the Civic Type R's and Integra Type S's competitors like the Elantra N, GR Corolla and Golf R offer autos as well as a manual.
In reply to Colin Wood :
The GR Corolla has an auto now? I thought that only the Yaris was getting it.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
2025 has auto on GRC
which is why people like me are getting the $5000-$6000 off msrp on the 6MT
people who wanted grc already got them in manual
now all the AT people will buy them. all local dealers have 5-6 at grc in stock - no more MT stock being kept locally
