Why do I love this soo much? Used SX4 + self installed kit = AWD Demon that's 500lbs less than a WRX.

You lost me here:

The cost of the turbo kit, with all the necessary plumbing, will come in at relatively steep $5,400 when it goes on sale this June. Suzuki estimates that the installation would run between $1,100 and $1,200 at the dealership, but wouldn't say if fitting the kit would affect the seven-year/100,000 factory warranty on the powertrain.

That seems awfully pricey for a turbo kit. Does that price include the wheels and brakes too? If so, it makes a whole lot more sense. Also, I really like the idea. We need more turbo AWD cars around.

Depends what's involved in the kit. A good, complete turbo kit can easily cost $5400. Price out Dinan parts some day.

Go to RRM's website. http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=31_33

$4500 COMPLETE kit with tuning and all. $4500 (imo) to gain close to 100 hp is a good price.

Has anyone ever heard of a 16g "GT3" turbo before. Maybe they meant an Evo3 16g? Googled it and only references were to copies of same Suzuki article. In the past, any 16g turbo with a "GT" that you saw for sale meant it was a cheap Chinese knock-off of a real MHI unit.

Nevertheless, why would they put such an overkill turbo on the SX4 if they're only running 7 lbs of boost and ~220hp? No 16g I ever met was meant for that, they don't even hit their stride till over 15 and my current Evo3 is happy pushing 25 all day long on pump gas. Kinda seems like an odd design choice.
