do it. that generation of prelude is a GREAT car to drive. Not a track day star or autocross beast by any stretch of the imagination, but is comfortable and fun to drive on normal roads. if I had the money and could figure out a car seat solution for it I would be looking for one too.
Here is a good example of H22 depreciation.

A motor that costs more than most of the cars i own? I must be missing something.
Well, it's ours. Car drives very nicely. Needs a little detailing, but overall a very clean car. Interior is perfect, near as I can tell.
Engine tachs 3500 at 70 mph and even a light pat on the gas is rewarded with some giddy-up. Very responsive, but not exactly a beast. Has a nice tight feel. New Kumho Ecsta tires.
Sounds like a bump or a clunk coming from the right rear of the car. I'm thinking exhaust hanger.
And oh yeah. The ignition switch is wonky. Doesn't always turn to start. Sometimes it kind of hangs up. That should be fun.
In reply to Vigo:
It does have some decent parts in them. In general, Honda engines are valued higher than pretty much anything else out there for some reason. Ricer tax, I guess. H series and B series engines have gotten a lot cheaper now that the K series is the king of rice mountain. I remember a time that engine would be at least another $1000.
Now, I know we could do it far cheaper than that, but we're grassroots. We'll hunt around for a deal on a head and another deal for the block, and find someone with an aborted project and pick up the rest of the internals for a song, but we're not most people.
