I know that more than one of us will be interested in a searchable archive... Plans?

Is this ever going to happen? Now that there is almost a year and half worth of posts to have the older stuff available would just let us read old threads that said the same things in slightly different ways.

If I get a vote I'd say don't waste your time on it. Mostly I just wanted to find a thread on the last page and bring it up to the top. Recycling because I care about the children and all.

I'd like to know if the answer has always been "Miata".

I have to say the the search function on this forum can be a bit of a pain in the pipe. When I want to search for info on a car I can't narrow the results. So If I want to learn about Miatas then I get results from everybody who posted their car in reader's rides.

I hope you can tell me I'm doing it wrong and show me the way.....

As for the digital version of the mag, the only feature I would want is to be able to search articles about specific cars.....I would then print them out so I can read them in my "Executive library".

No. Sometimes it's "20 valve."

Sultan,

when you type "miata" into the search field at the top of the page you will get results from where ever "miata" is found, whether it's in the forums, articles, reader's rides etc. However, when looking at that enormous list of results, over on the right hand side of the page is an advanced search function that you can use to narrow down your results. You can select results from just the forums, back issues, project updates, readers rides etc. It really helps to narrow things down.

I don't know how long it's been there as I just noticed it last week after complaining (in my head) for months about the same problem you've been having.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Go to google. Type (with the quotations) "grassroots motorsports" and then whatever else you are searching for. Example:

"grassroots motorsports" miata end links

I've found this method to be the most time efficient when trying to find something specific on the GRM forums.

Use Google site search. Type the following

miata girls car site:grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum

Works every time

Keep in mind that this won't search the archived forum, you'd have to do that seperately using the site search.
