Will the weather cooperate? Good question but, assuming it does, you’ll find our Garage Rescue Miata at next week’s Orlando Roadsters meet: July 31 at Speedzone Orlando.
Fun starts at 6:30, and the address is 8119 S. Orange Avenue in Orlando.
So, the big question for the rest of the class: How are your summer car activities going?

How are my summer car activities going? Well, my CRX might need a new engine, my Sprite does not have a braking system, and I bought a Berkeley:
Next week? I'm heading for Miatas At The Gap with a couple of interesting cars in a trailer. I'll stand around and talk to people for two days, then drive home again :)
In reply to Qaaaaa :
Is this the Berkley I saw on Facebook like yesterday?

In reply to David S. Wallens :
It was the only one I saw on Facebook yesterday, so I assume so. I grabbed it out of West Virginia. Real nice guy. Has a 250cc single out of a Big Red in it. I haven't made any plans for it yet, I'll probably clean the carb and get it running, make it turn and stop with this in it, then throw, like, a CB400 or something into it. Enough to be safe in traffic, not enough to die quickly.
Small world and congrats.
Are MR2 Spyders allowed to attend?
In reply to mblommel :
Yep, all roadsters invited.
It's on a Monday? Makes it kinda tough for people who are close enough, but have regular jobs.
It would be nice but it's a bit far for a one day event.

It’s on a Monday. That’s been the group’s usual for 20+ years–always the last Monday evening of the month.
What about a stretched NC miata with a roof and 4 doors? Lolz.
In reply to wvumtnbkr :
Only if it's got a rotary swap.

Just checked, 2.5 hrs from me. I can't make it this Monday, but I might bring the S2000 to the next one.

It’s every month like clockwork. With Ace’s closure, this is the new place. It’s not far from the Florida Turnpike. It’s about 80 minutes for me.

Why did all the kids start parking NA miatas with the headlights up? I think I might hate this trend even more than all the other ways they're ruining them.

Back in 1990, if they had a low profile headlight kit. Those kits always made me laugh, because they claimed to be an aesthetic improvement but you could only see the difference if you popped the lights and decreased the aesthetics of the car. Plus they were a functional downgrade.
Now, they're probably doing it because 1) they installed some aftermarket headlight they want to show off or 2) it gives the car a big happy goofy face. The good news is that it's a 100% reversible modification.
I do like being one of the old guys at the event.
Just a bump because “next week” is now “tonight.”
In reply to David S. Wallens :
Hopefully stops raining by then
I know, weather forecast is not encouranging.
