Windshield leaks

So now two of our fleet have leaking windshields. Both original glass. An 86 f250 and 05 XC90.  Has anyone repaired this before? 

I had this issue on my Prius. I could use my finger and push out the windshield. Noticed it because of water pooling on the floor.

A decent glass or body shop should be able to remove and reseal the original windshield. You have two risks: 1) they might break the glass and you'll need a new windshield (your dime) or 2) there might be rust underneath the glass preventing a good seal.

I had a body shop fix mine and also add a strip of black paint across the top where I was getting rock chips. I went with a body shop (at the recommendation of my glass shop) because of the risk of rust repair, and didn't want to have to drive the car without a windshield to the second shop. Cost a few hundred for paint and windshield resealing.

New windshields are glorious. The seeing is awesome, and the actual working of the windshield wipers.

All I know is that if I were doing more than squirting sealer into the suspected areas and crossing my fingers, I'd be replacing the glass along with the seal.

If it were vehicles you plan to keep I would have the windshields removed the seal area cleaned and inspected. Even small leaks can channel water along the length of the windshield flange and to other parts of the surrounding structure leading to rust. Some of the areas may not have any paint and be bare metal. The heat cycles of the sun accelerate rust. We all know rust never sleeps.

I recently looked at a 1970 Corvette for a project and the whole windshield support area and structure down to the frame was rusted out to the point of crumbling. This was the result of a windshield rubber gasket failure. The only way I detected it was after noticing the carpet on the floor and kick panel in front of door showed signs of being wet and were mildewed.
