So my track E30 had a really faulty wiring harness and fuse box when I got it and it was pretty much all stripped out to get it to work reliably. Any circuits that are optional to drive on a track were ditched to remove gremlins in the harness.

now I’d like to add back a simple wiper circuit. 1 on off switch to turn them on at the low speed setting. I have looked over the Bentley diagram (photo below)

and I think I have the essentials identified in the following sketch.

Does anyone see any glaring issues?

That is the current fix. Works well with rain. Does NOT work well with sporadic puddles and a car in front of you.... like coming up to turn 5 at road atlanta through the Esses a few car lengths behind someone....

Based on the diagram that should work.

I didn't look at the details, but that looks complicated.  For a race car, you don't need intermittent wipers, just a single wire to turn on/off at slow speed is how I'd wire it.

I took the factory switch out of mine and wired a double throw switch for slow and fast speeds and it works but the wipers do not "park" properly . They just stop where ever they are when you kill the switch. Any Ideas?

Park is something that different manufacturers do differently, for some it's internal to the motor, others it's external.  What are you working with?

For instance, the wiper motor in the OP's diagram shows that pin 6 on the wiper motor needs to get power all the time.  When you turn the wipers off, the motor will get power until it gets to the park position at which point the contact gets broken and the motor stops.

1998 Dodge Avenger. I'll see if I have a wiring schematic in the service manual I have.  Thank you, I was drawing a blank on that,
