He appeared to be doing rings around a short oval. I am sure Ken Block will be along shortly to do 1500 circles around a pylon to SMASH the record.
Looked like a figure-8 to me...which makes more sense in one way, it distributes tire wear and heat more evenly.
I wonder when they'll have to develop special tires with extra thick layers of rubber just for these stunts.
If modifying the surface is fair game, never. This was done on wet pavement, on ice the limitation would be the car's range.
