I think I'd spend more money on parts/supplies fr and a place to keep my cheap crap than I would for pricey finished product. Leaving aside all the other things I'd get(indoor/outdoor gun ranges, etc), I'd buy a massive warehouse to serve as service/fab shop and storage for a hoard of more crap cans than I could ever get around to.
ACVWs. Nothing rare, most would likely end up with Subaru powerplants.
'80s Subarus: wagons, hatches, and coupes in particular. I have a thing for EA81/82 cars. A few left stock, a few to offroad, one or two to hot rod to the hilt with modern components.
A collecton of somewhat pedestrian GM cruisers from 1930-1980. Again, some stock, a few LS powered for highway treks. I don't care for the popular ones, their popularity has ruined them for me.
One Locost... I haven't seen one with a flat four yet.
One E34, soft spot for these.
Yugos... because really, why the F not?
'80s Audis: anything 5cyl powered and AWD. 5000TQ wagon with stick(were these badged as 200?) would top the list.
The Challenge-priced Craigslist antique commercial trucks of the day. These would likely be put back to running and driving condition and resold. A keeper would receive a Detroit Diesel and stay forever.
Early '90s F250 2WD longbed with an International 7.3. Miss my old work truck desperately.
Wife had requested as of late for, of all things, a new Fiesta five door with a stick... I'm shocked!
Perception may change with money, but my logic won't. What's more fun: one $100,000 car, or 100 $1,000 cars? I think the one thing I could spend real money on is a Kent powered MK1 Escort in rally trim.
