The Lincoln LS isn't worth it lol

Why? Is it like a yugo with defects like locking seatbelts that don't lock?

This isn't a like it or don't like it question. I'm wondering if there are mechanical issues with the design.

At say $1600 alll in if I drive for a year it's like a $130 car payment, not counting recoup.

But if it is one of those cars that something breaks on all the time the price goes up.

My grandfather had one that I used to maintain for him. They're nice looking and handle decent but they have issues that like to come back even after they were fixed (COPS, Clockspring, window regulators), they're not easy to work on (cramped), interior parts are cheap, suspension/steering parts deteriorate quickly and overpriced for what they were (balljoints, tie rods, all the bushings), have electrical issues especially high mileage.

Honestly, it's like they took the worst of Jaguars parts and combined it with mediocre Ford stuff. I wouldn't call them reliable I used to venture the forums too and the issues were common as a McDonald's. I like how they sound and drive but an e39 530i or 540i does everything better and is more reliable. Yah I said it!

Get a clean Lexus LS400 or BMW 530i instead lol

I like the LS, I notice lots for sale needing front end work though so check and see if the reason is cost prohibitive parts before diving in
