And he's a "Congressional staffer" who loves his job. She's got patience to have even lasted through the entire date with him.
There is a girl in the local autoX club and euro car clubs that is a good drive, SCCA tech inspector, but her husband hates cars.
She calls him "the wife"
My wife LOVE's auto-xing, and is looking forward to having the Corvette prepped to run this season. It remains to be seen who will stay home to attend our soon to arrive "Junior" while the other proceeds to chew up some RA1's.
They're out there: automotive events have become a part of our quality time together.

No need to leave junior behind -- my kids have been attending events since birth. There's always willing hands to help out.

My girlfriend and i were standing towards the end of the back straight at Road Atlanta, watching final practice for the ALMS P1/P2 class when she saw the Peugeot LMP car doing about 180mph coming towards her. She looked at me and i said" Could i race?"
She said "NO!!!"

Tell her you're buying a motorcycle because the steel safey cage, seatbelts, safety devices, and fire extinguishers a racecar provides is too restrictive, she'll see the light, at least my wife did...
