didn't realize my mother was a forum moderator....
Get a sense of humor folks......
A spin on words I used in my thread title that was deleted.....
This appears to the only board mods that can't handle it. 3 others are rolling........
Here's a hint:
Never post anything on this forum that you wouldn't want your mother to read.
Do otherwise, and you'll meet with cold shoulders and sharp elbows.
I think I know the title of which you speak and although it was just a cute play on words this is a family oriented site. Peoples kids read this and well, Im personally of a belief that if they dont understand it, good, if they do then shame on the parents but either way it was a bit risque and you do have to think of the audience here and keep it PG

If you're not the person who deleted the post, my comment doesn't apply to -nor concern- you, does it?

I understand, but it was about as PG as it could be......

Not ganging up on you because I often tend to go to the wrong side of "family friendly" but you just have to think as one person said "would you post it if your grandmom or kids were reading"
To be honest I was going to go in and post a reply to the title which probably would have been more risque than the title itself but I got distracted. Its easy to forget that the audience here isnt always all adult and the forum itself is a reflection on the magazine who does have readership and advertising sales to consider.
Family Friendly forum here. No real trolls, no shiny happy people, lets keep it that way. This the the forum I know I will never have a problem with the lack of, or too much moderating. And the reason for the latter is that the users here have enough common sense in general so that its not needed.

Yes, the GRM forum is an anomaly of the internet. In a good way.

Sir,
"folks" is plural, and I am a part of this web site. I may not be an admin, but I am a part of it.
Part of the reason I like this forum is the family friendly (/work friendly) nature. Not all of us like to have to filter through the junk that gets posted on some of the other forums out there.
If you can't play nice and by the rules, play somewhere else.

Wow, nice attitude on this one.
I respectfully submit that if you don't want people posting in your threads that you don't berkeleying post them publicly to begin with.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. If you post something on a forum, it is directed at the entire forum. If it's not intended for the forum, then IM the person.
Like others have said, this is a family-friendly forum and if it ever becomes otherwise, I won't frequent it. I sit here on the computer and often my 5 or 7 year old is sitting right here and I don't want them being exposed to something that they shouldn't if I can avoid it.
I have the distinct feeling that I missed something--and really want to keep it that way.
I suggest we change the purpose of this thread. It will now be open for us all to send each other Halloween greetings. I'll start: Happy Halloween, karlt_10. I'm sure it wasn't personal, and I know it can be off-putting to find your stuff deleted--happened a few times to me as well, since I don't always use the best taste in my ruthless, yet just as often fruitless, pursuit of funny.
Margie
YAY, Happy Halloween to all of the GRM members!
I am going as Bob Costas...no, the actual Bob Costas...not the filter word!
