Petter Solberg and Phil Mills show how to do it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeoYf1iqCgs&feature=sub

In-car footage from the 2001 Monte Carlo rally. This is the Col de Turini tarmac stage, traversed in 23 minutes. The road follows the contour of the mountains, bounded by sheer verticals on one side and sheer drop-offs on the other.

Enjoy!

awesome vid..

I remember being glued to set when this was aired on the review on New Years day. Tons of friends had slept over and were yelling at me to turn off the rally... I didn't let them turn off the tv. They can either like rally or not be my friend.

"OK now it's gonna get really fast"

yah like they were just coasting before. I've had this clip on my HD for some time now and have yet to get tired of it!

When Speed stopped showing WRC on New Years Day and replaced it with Barrett Jackson, I stopped watching Speed.

Man, the level of concentration required to simply parse those instructions for 20 minutes! It really shows the difference between the amateur and professional levels of the sport. I had the chance to drive the Col du Turini in 2000, actually. Crazy road.
