Lots of places proclaim to sell it - but quality of the insulation is never even close to the stuff I pilfer by the armload from the junkyard. Places like digikey or Mouser (where I get a lot of smaller electronics and internal wire) don't make life easy for me.
I am making a nice new, from scratch harness and I'd like a variety of color, size and all of the same high quality. Where do you guys buy your wire?
(Matt from DIY Autotune... that was nice stuff in a variety of colors that came in the squirt harness - care to share a supplier?)

The electrical stuff I've bought from Pegasus was good quality. I'd love to know where I can get OEM grade wire for a reasonable price though.

I'd like to know that, and also where to get non single color options.
Pins and connectors are easy- molex sends engineering samples that are enough to wire a basic car. They've got every pin you can think of.

In reply to DILYSI Dave:
I'm not looking for a megasquirt harness - I'm looking for rolls, in various sizes and colors, of the wire it is based upon.

That?
We use TXL grade. I'm not at liberty to say where we get the wire for our harnesses, bit of a trade secret - but I can tell you that if you want spools of plain solid colored wire, Waytek Wire is a good place to get them.
Or, go to a place that services overhead cranes or elevators and see if you can get a piece of cable that they use - both of them use high temperature stuff with a bunch of different colors.
