Since I lack any real plan or direction yet I'll just give you some pics and wait for the ideas/commentary.

You just took some pictures of it, right? I mean, you didn't actually pay money for that, did you? Haha you had me going there, you kidder you, that was a good joke hee hee hee.
Redo/repair it enough so you can rent it and yourself out for weddings, proms, birthdays, etc....
BTW, what year, make and model?

I was contemplating a Jeep 4.0 or a 4 or 6BT diesel conversion if I can find it for the right price.
I was also offered a Caddy 427 with FWD transaxle....mid engine big block Nash FTW?

BABE/Lemons prices but yes money was exchanged. Been looking for a pre 30s body for a project for awhile and most of them are 2k+ just for a body. Still alot of good trim stuff from this one (removed and boxed) that I can probably sell off to someone who cares.

1929 Nash model is still up for debate, believed to be a 400.
If you really want a jeep 4.0, you can have the one that is stored in my mom's garage, complete from oil pan to valve cover with wiring harness and dizzy. I'll be up there in January and will bring it back if needed

Just what I was thinking Bony and Clide but add either:
a. LSX power
b. Cummings turbo diesel (think from a dodge truck)
c. flat head (resto mod is the obvious thought here)
d. Put a pimping red velour mid 80's early 90's interior in it from a ford T bird in it and cover it in bacon?

I'm thinking 7mgte with a monstrous turbo, some nice 17x9 jdm wheels on all four corners, and the aforementioned mexican blanket interior.

If its not much trouble it might be the route to go. Mebbe with a ghettocharger on it.

Definitely not doing the rat thing. There may be some styling cues there but I like paint. Might/most likely will leave the roof full height rather than a chop. Although its tempting to turn it into a Phaeton. But Im getting tired of good weather only toys.

Is Bony and Clide the porno version?
That said, go for the slant-six with turbo and megasquirt. Document on the board with lots of pics and commentary.
Atlas straight 6.
murder it out (blacken everything, de-badge and tint the windows)
Buy a wool suit and a fedora.
Mexican blanket interior as already mentioned, medium gray paint with the ex-chrome painted black, red steel wheels.
Straight six engine sounds good, turbo better, but it's all got to fit under the hood.
A 1929 Nash of that size. Please don't chop it. Don't pimp it out, please. There's only a handful left of these. No turbos, something tasteful with carbs. Resto mod, but keep the shape, flowing fenders...keep any and all badges to ID it.
A Nash should really have a Kenosha-built motor,IMO. I think an AMC 4.0/4.2 with Clifford/Weber DCOEs with a Chrysler/AMC Torqueflight would be very nice for a resto-driver.

Normally I'd try to show some respect having been raised by a purist but this car is beyond restoration (on an economical scale) and noone wants it. Even my father the purist said rod it.
I mostly plan to retain the body as is, but plans change too so ya never know.
The drivetrain will almost certainly be modern FI nothing retro. Or diesel.
