Just a heads up for everyone, i would suggest NOT buying from this site.

I placed an order on 12/14/10 for a Greddy RZ blow off valve, and received no notification about any potential delays, that typical order time takes 2-3 days before shipping.

I had received no update of any kind either via my email or on their website under their order tracking (other than that the order had been placed on 12/14) by 12/22, so i sent them an email asking for status and a tracking number. I did not get a reply.

I called them on 12/23, and after being hung up on the first time, was told that they didn't have the part in stock, but that it would ship on the 27th or the 28th of december. I was a little miffed, but took the punch and rolled with it. I requested that i either be emailed a tracking number, or that the tracking system on their website be updated with the tracking number. The person i spoke said that it would not be a problem and they would do so.

Fast forward to this weekend. I realized that i still hadn't gotten my part, so i checked my email and their site. STILL no update in any way. I also noticed that on their site there's a logo that states that they are a "BBB Accredited Business," so i figured i'd see if there were any other similar complaints. Lo and behold, according to the BBB, they are NOT accredited. Should have done my research ahead of time i guess.

Anyways, i sent them two emails this weekend, one requesting a status update by EOD today, the 10th of January. In that email, i informed them that i needed a tracking number no later than today, showing a delivery date by the 12th or 13th of January. In the second, i informed them that having that "BBB Accredited" logo up on their website is advertising fraud.

Hopefully this gets their attention, but i'm not holding my breath. None of my emails have been answered before. I bet the phone call tomorrow when i don't have the tracking number will be pretty.

Sooo... buyer beware.

Oh. Convenient. They "just got them in" the day after i sent them angry emails. How nice for them. I got this email a little less than 2 hours ago.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with crap like that. One of my personal websites sponsors is one of the biggest parts shippers I know, and they're local. I do all my dealings with them, or with Mark at StreetUnit, or at VividRacing. They've all done me well.

Vivid Racing has a pretty bad track record on a lot of the import forums out there for pulling all sorts of shady crap. They are probably one of the only vendors that I've seen get banned from a forum before. I can't believe that they are still in business.

The downside is that my tracking number shows delivery as the 14th, which isn't really what i asked for, but as long as it actually gets here on that date, i can live. I want to fire this car with a properly functioning bov for the first time since the theft a year ago. I feel like i'm losing a LOT of performance with the leaky ebay unitl.

I will ask about the BBB rating again this week, and if i don't get a response, i'll go ahead and alert the BBB, since having that logo is illegal on a few levels.

Well, they did make good on their promise at least.

But in other news, i'm going to boycott UPS. This is the dumbest E36 M3 i've ever had to deal with from a carrier.

They tried to deliver on Friday at 2pm. You know, when 80% of the American Population is at work, just like their driver. They didn't deliver because i wasn't there, (DUH!) and unlike FEDEX, DHL, OR EVEN THE GODDAMN USPS, they won't leave packages at my apartment office.

Alright, fine, so i'll just pick it up at the facility today, right?

WRONG.

UPS GROUND IS NOT WORKING AT THE FACILITY ON WEEKENDS.

Perfect.

I can have it re-delivered on Monday, at the same time. GREAT! I think i'll call into work just to get my friggin' package. Nope, can't do that. OR i can pick it up. But not until Tuesday. Just because.

Seriously. berkeley these people. They will never see a cent of my business again, whether it's from me directly, or from someone sending me a part i bought.

It doesn't take any other carrier 5 days to ship to me from any place in the US, and i don't have to deal with this bullE36 M3 from any other carrier, either, so they aren't even relevant to me.

Which car is this? Mazda? Stolen?

It's the Mazda.

It was a theft victim about a year ago, had a bunch of parts stolen off of it. The BOV is really the only thing that hadn't been replaced with an equivalent part. I had a true Greddy Type S welded directly on one of the endtanks of my intercooler, and that was stolen. I've been making do since then with an Ebay knockoff that leaks pretty badly and messes up my AFRs and spool.

However, despite me telling them that i just wanted them to keep it at the facility so i could pick it up on Tuesday, because i wouldn't be home when they said they were going to deliver today....

Guess what got delivered at 7:30pm today?

Yup. That's... special.

Anyways, i've got a brand new Greddy RZ limited BOV sitting here. It's kinda pretty. Downside is that according to the specs/brochure with it, it was engineered to be as loud as possible. We'll see. I'm not real keen on that.
