A rad-era hatchback not from one of the usual suspects? How about an Isuzu I-Mark (also known as the Gemini)?
According to the seller, the I-Mark starts up with no issues and comes fitted with the stock turbo setup.
Located in Yorktown, Virginia, this Isuzu I-Mark RS is listed at $2500.

Wow.
We once spied a Lotus-tuned Isuzu in the local you-pull-it.
Someone I know might have grabbed the badges.
Drove one of these new back in the day. Very fun car. Quick and light.
This is sweet but is it bad that the first thing I think when I see something cool and rare like this is how hard it might be to find parts for it?
I just sold a turbo for one of those. It's a pretty rabid community, I doubt parts would be a concern.
88 is the SOHC 1.5. The DOHC's that came later are really nice engines.
Also sold as the Pontiac Sunburst in Canada.
Hopefully it has the sweet OE wheels.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
Had to google pictures because the ad doesn't show the wheels, but yeah, those are some really rad wheels.
This DOHC car is for sale local to me. $3800CDN which is $2800US

Probably should have dropped a photo in there.
Are those totally ’80s or what?

Still have a few of my own from that yard.
I still have one although it hasn't run in years. Fun little cars. I also have an Impulse turbo, which wasn't one on my better ideas.
As someone who graduated HS at the end of the 80's I miss the monochromatic styling on cars.
This is exactly the kind of car I fantasize about most and miss. Light, simple, fun, fairly practical.
A friend had one when I was in HS, I never drove it but I wonder how it would feel now.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
Was this in the Cleveland Ohio area?

Oh, totally. Wheels gotta match the paint, too.
In reply to Peabody :sorry to join this conversation a little late. I had one of these. It was a fun car. The 1.5 turns was a good little engine. The DOHC's were available at the same time just not turbo charged. The DOHC turbo came along with the Impulse for the first time. This was again one of the most fun to drive cars I have ever owned!
