So this car is running the inlet restrictor as mandated by the GTL rules. One could ditch the restrictor or turbocharge it. You'd have a 2000lb car with an easy 250-300hp.

That's exactly what I would have done with it.
Not sure where all my pics went but the 1200 I had was damaged at delivery and turned into a showroom stock racer and was a GT5/GTL by the time I got it.
I have a bunch of 1200 pics of my own but they're all from - gasp - film cameras. I never did any organized events other than autocross and trackdays, no SCCA anything. I just built it the way I wanted. Perhaps we need a Datsun 1200 thread, hah.
