You know it’s going to be an interesting car when the listing starts with “This is a toy.”

Essentially, this is an NB Miata chassis and drivetrain wearing the skin of a British Ford Squire–with a turbocharger added in for good measure.

That's exactly the kind of appealing nonsense I love.......power....handling....patina....and just completely different.

I approve of such shenanigans.
This reminds me of the English fellow who put a Ford 100E body on a Miata. He did an excellent job , complete with lots of videos. Look for "Urchfab" on YouTube.![1959 Ford Prefect 100E with a MX-5 Chassis at the Track](https://i0.wp.com/engineswapdepot.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/1959-Ford-Prefect-100E-on-a-MX-5-chassis-64.jpg?fit=1332%2C888&ssl=1)

Thanks for the encouragement! But nah, I've already got a crazy fast car. My next will be a second gen Corvair.

Lots of interesting modded cars around.
I recall a similar car owned by one of the masters at the private school I briefly attended as a young boy. It was an Austin A40 Sports with a torn floppy soft top and flapping front fenders, and looked dilapidated - but the car was very sound underneath and he had a Chev 283 under the bonnet and it was hopped up. I imagine he had lots of fun with American cars....
I do prefer the modded cars that look stock and have sticky modern rubber in at least close to stock size rather than the ones with great wide wheels and tires - I like the sleeper look.

I also like the shot of the rear fender with California carpool lane sticker spoofed to read 'ACCESS DENIED "Clean" air vehicle'.
