Dust off your wingtips and channel your inner Dave Marcis with this 1983 Oldsmobile Winston Cup race car.
Not only does this car have an SVRA Gold Medallion, fresh 500-horsepower engine and Jerico transmission, it also has quite the racing history as it’s run with SVRA, HSR and SCCA.
And guess what? This Oldsmobile comes with a letter of authenticity …

When I see these era cars, I think, who would buy this?
This guy and he'd drive it to the liquor store to get a 6-pack of beer in a paper sack.
Dave Marcis was an old school salt of the earth campaigner. I am a fan of his tenacity.

I would buy it, put lights and tags on it and drive it like that. I needed an excuse to wear my wingtips more.
That is so desirable to an old guy.

Just the right stance, right?
I approve of that purchase.... coming to an HSR event near you in 2025... Jimmy Spencer 1999 Monte Carlo
If i had $32k burning a hole in my pocket I would absolutely buy that thing. That's a bargain.
Dave Marcis was known for wearing black wing tip street shoes while driving.
Highly recommend. Be the the coolest car at the thing you do.
Wing Tip has THICK soles, and thus were an excellent head deflector for a HOT Stock Car interior.
FWIW Dave is a great Turkey hunter and a very funny guy.
I had the opportunity to spot for him a couple of times at NASCAB races.
Marcis ran his own team for most of his career. While certainly Kulwicki had success as an owner-driver, not many others did. I wonder if Marcis had run for one of the major teams would he have been considered one of the greats.
Either way, Marcis always seemed like a great human being.
I'd be down for a pair of racing boots styled/painted to look like a pair of wingtips.
I feel like it would be a great way to include a shoe sponsor.

Nice! Was that the one Jimmy ran at The Glen or was it an oval-track car?
