Neal Tovsen, an old friend of ours, is selling his C Street Prepared 1990 Mazda Miata. At last week’s Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals, this car PAX’d seventh out of the 1340 entries. He’s keeping a few things from the car, but it comes nearly complete. The asking price is $7500.

If it were in the Top 5 maybe, but it can only manage 7th out of 1340?  Meh.

HA! LOL!  That's a pretty amazing car.

In reply to David S. Wallens :

Reading the ad was actually quite interesting.

It very much answered some rather nasty posts in reply to my posts questioning the cost of CSP in Miata.net quite a while ago.  Better yet, it also gives some rather good points for challenge cars.

Good luck to whoever gets that car.  Amazing deal to start with.

At the SCCA championships last week, CSP was faster than SSP, ASP, BSP, all of Prepared except XP, and Street Mod.  It's a relatively cheap way to go fast.

Thanks for the comments, guys! And thanks to GRM for the post. I'm happy to discuss anything you like about the car.

alfadriver: I'm curious which thread you're referring to. FWIW, there is a very recent thread on Miata.net, with good posts from many people who have real experience, and with which I generally agree...
