I'll have to share this with Kartboy, it may end up in the hands of Pat from Weezer.

Thinking on it a bit, I'm probably fortunate that I have almost no need for a vehicle like this. Combine that with a lack of substantially expendable funds, and I'm gonna have to pass. The part of me that loves sleepers, combined with loving the idea of seeing the Grosh in person? That part of me would really love this thing...

Good luck with the sale Seth, and thanks for sharing the adventures!

I'm glad you enjoyed reading along, it's been one hell of an adventure.

I just got off the phone with my wife and apparently a guy was just flipping through autotrader and saw the ad and decided to call. He had no idea what it was and was asking how it was different than an R350. I think my wife talked him out of it.

People use autotrader?

It's less scammy when trying to sell cars for more than Challenge money. Ain't nobody got time to talk to crack heads about possible trades for their uncles bass boat.

I scanned it for a few years looking over different models and options and such before making my purchase last fall.

It was nicer with the old format where there was a spec sheet tab listing things like vehicle weight, power, wheelbase, tow rating, etc.

Autotrader drives me nuts.   While they were the first platform to allow searching by "manual transmission only" they morphed into a site that separates ads based on premium/regular/free.  Even when you sort by lowest price, you often have to jump between pages to get back to the price range you're really looking for.  They also randomly inset ads into the mix.  I found Cars.com both desktop and mobile to be an easier platform to use.  I stopped looking at autotrader all together.  Yea, there's a workaround, but it really should be easier.  Just my $.02.

I wonder how much money dealers waste to advertise new cars on all of the major platforms.  Both cars.com and autotrader are mostly duplicative.

While all that is true, if you search for R63's, you get all of your results on one short page, no scrolling. laugh

I had lots of scams last time I listed on autotrader.  Basically got no real buyers, but plenty of emails from people asking me to list the car with them, or pay them to help sell it, etc, etc...
