Jerry, I forgot how much i love bugeyes and regret that my 02 was a hacked up POS. Then you go posting all these cars you want looked at. So i just came home with this, tossed on my plates, throw on the Team Alavanche piston skull & crossed wrenches and took off. Sitting at a celebration of life party right now, Carli just knows she has to search the parking lot and guess which one is mine, i gave no insight when i left with the trailer 5 hours ago

 I blame you, Jerry!

Dude I need a piston skull decal for the tool box. Or the welding helmet. Or both.

she's cool. she guessed caprice before we went outside though

unfortunately most everyone left before we did so there was just the wrx, her charger, a handi-transport van and a red sunfire in the lot so she didn't have to look hard

Fired right up the other night and ran it for 30 minutes, trying to burn as much of the 3 year old gas as i can for you

Possible rallycross for the wrx, but the major plan is not break it and use it to keep miles off the Ram. Truck is 10 months old and going to pass 21k next week.

It is NOT a project and it's only been in Cleveland for 2 years, it is a Missouri car so it's disgustingly clean to be rolling in road salt but whatever, it was $2750 and is a manual, and needed nothing to hop in and drive. I have every receipt since new including the dealership papers showing they traded in a 1995 m3 with 75k and only got 14k in trade in 2002. Car has had full synthetic oil changes from subaru dealers at 2500-2900 mile intervals since new.

It got tagged, mom's friend has a vinyl shop in her basement and cut me a few extras when she did the challenge car stickers.

I wish it was a little more rumbly but I don't want the full on "hey thats a subie with an ebay catback" hear it coming from a mile away noise. It's annoyingly quiet with the factory exhaust. Seeing as how the EJ's and the mumpkin are the only 4 cylinders that i enjoy the sounds of I would like to make it slightly louder than stock.

Try to find a Scooby Sport exhaust. They add a bit of burble without sounding tinny.

That looks really well bought for under three grand.

Should be fun before NE Ohio tin worm consumes it.

Holy cow. Is your deal indicative of the current market for those cars? Or is that the screaming deal it seems to be?

around here a $2500 WRX has a blown engine, trans, wrecked, and/or the suspension is falling off from rust. usually 2 of those 4. it appears from around here, as i do keep an eye on the market, that this should have been closer to 4500-5000 based on condition, full history in a folder, how it runs, and how nobody hacked it up with aftermarket trash. when i called(next morning after ad went up because i saw it at midnight) he said he had someone coming at 4, someone coming at 5, and someone coming at 7. conveniently, i was off and asked if i could please be first in line if he was available. he was going to the gym at 2:15 and said he'd meet me there. drove it, my bank was in the same parking lot so we got the notary done, handed over cash and loaded it up on the trailer. he went in to work out and took an uber home, and i think i made a friend. he works in welder sales for lincoln electric, and just bought a new tacoma and the wrx was just stashed in his garage.

there are currently 3 relatively local wrx under 5k advertised. $4800 with a bunch of questionable mods and quarter panel cancer. $2500 with 331k, blown trans, salvage title. $2500 with mismatched nose from a crash, quarter panel rust, knocking engine. and to be fair a $4400 saabaru that looks in comparable condition to the one i bought, but it's an automatic

couldn't have gone smoother, it almost makes up for the north carolina fiasco last week. i was searching CL for chevelles again when i decided to search "turbo" under 4K. then i was like "hmmm let's see if there are any not rotten wrx'es" and it was posted within a couple hours so at 9am i called.

honestly at $2750 i probably could have come home, throw it up on a few forums, and had it gone for 4k in a few days or closer to 5 if i wanted to sit on it a while. but that wasn't the point.

So a 9-2 Aero without the glass transmission? And only $4400?

Hmm....

Where dafuq do you people FIND these things for that money?! I'd have bought that in a heartbeat even though I don't need it at all. Around here for $2750 it would have a fender in a different color, mismatched tires, ripped up interior, and it would be smoking. And it would have 160k on it with the original timing belt.

I think that in this particular case, you suck, for getting that for a great price.

Nice find. I keep telling my wife that constantly browsing CL is the only way to find the good deals, but she doesn't believe me.

It's on akron canton CL, black. Looks nice in pics.

Timing belt is one thing i will be inspecting shortly, and digging through the receipts to see when it was done.

He's a freaking wizard. My son and his friends all worship him as some kind of a god. And they don't even know about the WRX yet...
