So Sunday evening my fabricator pal calls me and says don't worry about having my son drop parts off on Monday because he's feeling a bit off and is going to his gastrointestinal Doc. Jump to Monday night and he calls me from Cardiac ICU!!!!

"The Doc says I'm getting a double bypass but everything on F500 is done, you just need to put the wiring harness back in"

He came out of surgery about two hours ago and all went well, thank goodness the guy has his priorities straight.......hmmm the old ticker feels a bit odd but well I need to finish this race car......I new I paid him good money for a reason.

On Monday I told him the wife would fix him up with some meals when he got home and his mood picked up. Plus he says if I just leave the car in the shop for a coupe of weeks he's sure he'll be able to at least supervise my work......well at least everything below the neck should be working.....he's a lunatic.

Whatta stand up guy. Both him and you for repaying his dedication. Wish more of the automotive community was like this. It should be about the car and the customer, not the cash. <---- this should be in the mag...

We've known each other for 30 years; like most people the people he does work for but honestly it's a case of screw the car dude take your &#^ing arse to the ER. Lucky for him we have a very good cardiac unit locally.......their work is as phenomenal as his. Two years ago a friend's wife flat lined in the doctors office and the same cardiac unit did an amazing job to save her life.

My wife's family is originally from down south, not only are the fabulous cooks but they automatically make up care packages when someone is sick. Last year when the friend had his hernia fixed she made up a nice stew and a mess of greens........she also bronze welds (artist) and makes up decals for the car.

Hope he gets better soon. Racetracks and garages are more fun than hospitals.
