Starting today you can bid on the 2017 Honda Civic Type R bearing VIN 01 via Bring A Trailer. The sale is for a good cause, too, with all of the proceeds benefitting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The auction closes on June 15.
Need some inspiration? How about the Civic Type R’s record-setting lap at the Nürburgring.

So, any guesses regarding the final selling price?
153 horsepower per liter...I see you HONDA.
Time to bring back the s2000 the ND needs competition.
AWD > FWD. I know this by personal experience. GKN Twinster FTW.
Up to $35,000 already. Wow.

Honda can only sell something that ugly by tying it to a charity. Interesting.
Honda should win this with the highest bid and give it as a gift to Tim Mings who restored Honda #001 N600 recently.

The Honda is about the norm in terms of power per liter on turbo engines these days - same as the Focus RS, for instance.
My street Solstice is sitting at 187 bhp/liter at the moment with mild mods and 250 is doable.
Would never have guessed that amount of $$$.
