I have found the thread on the Z4 coupes and read it but whats the opions on the Z4 roadsters? I actually liked the looks of the Z# but low milage examples are getting hard to find. Seems the majority of Z4 roadsters are automatics. Do the Z$ roadster handle or are they basically a two seat road car?

Define "handling".

They are essentially an E46 underneath, so handle similarly, have perfect weight distribution, and plenty of upgrade paths and great parts availability. They are a little camber challenged stock, but by pulling the strut top pins and with a shim kit, you can easily and cheaply fix that, or with camber plates it is also easy, and slightly more expensive.

I meant to ask how do the Z4's compare to the Z3's

the Z3, like the Ti and the e30, all share a trailing link rear suspension that is at best.. unforgiving. While lively and tossable, it will also bite at the limit

Several guys in Denver autocross the Z3 with good results. Can't imagine that the Z4 is much different....
